new project idea I have..
trying to raise funding..

My wacky AI generated animation ‘Neuralsim’ has been selected for this years Japan Media Arts Festival. ¬†Encouraging that something so experimental can be chosen by the jury out of 4,384 international works entered to be included in the final 30 or so selections for the animation category ūüôā

Over the last year I’ve helped develop and pioneer two free online tools that allow you to turn data into abstract imagery and electronic music. ¬†It was an exiting opportunity for me to apply my experience in generative animation and music toward creating tools for others to use, it was also great to collaborate with my friends at Datavized in New York, and also exciting for both projects to be funded by Google.

The first of these is Morph – available here.

And then there’s TwoTone – available here.

I designed a banner for The Digital Hub for their 10 year anniversary – it’s part of a competition – you can vote for my design below (it’s second down on the list).

Hi folks, just checking in with non-news. ¬†I’m taking a break from all development and work until the new year.

Art Cam is progressing nicely, but I need a proper rest!

I also have lots of funding applications in at the minute, which will make life/work easier and more productive for me, I’ll be hearing on these funding decisions by the end of the year.

Below are the latest Art Cam examples. ¬†You’ll see some with the palette tinting and spot color feature I’ve implemented, and also some with a vignetting effect. ¬†I’ve also implemented the hi res feature – you can save out pictures at 5 mega pixels (can be much more if I want) – the whole picture is rebuilt internally at hi res before saving – no scaling up. ¬†This allows for print res capability.

Smell ya later..
